Cookies
“What this site's two cookies actually do.”
Brumby Creeks uses a very small number of cookies, mostly to remember your age check and whether you've seen the cookie banner already.
The two cookies
“Two cookies, nothing hidden.”
- `age18au40` remembers that you've confirmed you're old enough to view the site, so the age check doesn't reappear on every page.
- `ckau40` remembers that you've seen and closed the cookie banner, so it doesn't follow you around the site.
- Neither cookie tracks you across other websites, and neither is used for advertising of any kind.
- Both cookies live in your browser only and are never sent anywhere beyond this site itself.
Nothing else running
“That's the whole cookie story here.”
- There's no advertising network attached to this site, and nothing here builds a profile of who's visiting or why.
- If that ever changes, this page will be updated first, and the banner will ask again before anything new is switched on.
- Clearing your browser clears both cookies; the age check and the banner will simply reappear next time.
- Neither cookie identifies you personally — each one stores a plain yes or no, nothing more.
- Questions about either cookie can go to the email address in the footer.
